The Department of Information Systems at The University of Cape Town (UCT) is offering the TS410 course (10th — 21st June 2019) in conjunction with SAP University Alliances (SAP UA). This course /certification in an upgrade to what used to be known as TERP10. Students who pass the TS410 examination will receive a fully recognized industry qualification issued by SAP.

New year greetings
A warm welcome to you all this new year. It has been a privilege and pleasure servicing multiple institutions all over Africa with enterprise systems curricula, software and technical support. A total of 331 students and 10 Lecturers were trained in 2018, covering ES fundamental knowledge and/or integrated with Information Systems, Accounting, Engineering and Computer Science related content.
The SAP Africa Academic Conference is scheduled to run from the 21st – 23rd June 2018. Registration is open and lecturers are encouraged to register. Registration is important for planning and catering purposes (tea and lunch to be provided at conference venue).
The 47th Annual Conference of the Southern African Computer Lecturers’ Association, provides a forum for the discussion of original research and practical experiences in teaching and learning of Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology and related disciplines. The conference will be held in Gordon's Bay, Western Cape in South Africa from the the 18th to the 20th of June 2018 and is affiliated with the ESEFA Academic Conference which is scheduled to take place after SACLA from the 21st to the 23rd of June 2018 at the University of Cape Town.
Faculty members from universities in the Sub-Saharan region are invited to participate in the Enterprise System Education for Africa (ESEFA) Train-the-Lecturer programme, offered by the Academic Competence Centre (ACC) for SAP in Africa, from 3 to 7 April 2018.
In late April the Department of Information Systems at the University of Cape Town (UCT) met two important project objectives when Mr Gwamaka Mwalemba travelled to Ethiopia to facilitate a Train the Trainer ES Fundamentals with SAP lecturer training course at the University of Addis Ababa (AAU).
The University of Ibadan (UI) in Nigeria recently launched its first ES Fundamentals short course under the leadership of UI’s ESEFA coordinator Dr Victor Oladokun (from the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering). ESEFA project team members from the Department of Information Systems at the University of Cape Town, Associate Professor Lisa Seymour (ESEFA Executive Sponsor) and Ms Tejumade Adeniran (ESEFA Project Administrator at UCT) flew to Nigeria to offer technical assistance and support for the week of 13th to 17th April.
The ESEFA ES Fundamentals curriculum was taught at the University of Cape Town during early February 2015 to students registered in the new Postgraduate Diploma in Public Sector Accounting.
ESEFA-Partner university lecturers from the University of Botswana, the University of Zambia and the Polytechnic of Namibia attended a Train the Trainer ES Fundamentals with SAP lecturer training course at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in December last year. The course facilitator was Mr Gwamaka Mwalemba, lecturer in the Department of Information Systems at UCT.
ESEFA project executive sponsor Associate Professor Lisa Seymour, from the Department of Information Systems at the University of Cape Town (UCT), gave a lecturer training course in “ES Fundamentals with SAP” at the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in Accra, Ghana from the 24th to 28th November 2014.
The UCT ESEFA project team gave a lecturer training course in “ES Fundamentals with SAP” at the University of Mauritius (UOM) from the 24th to 28th November 2014. In total 11 academics from UOM, which is the piloting ESEFA partner university in Mauritius, as well as 8 lecturers from the University of Technology Mauritius (UTM) - who are keen to join the ESEFA programme at a later stage - attended the training.
